NewsShark

NewsShark is a news client that will make it easy for you to follow the information published in the newsgroups (also known as newsgroups or simply news) that you are subscribed to. These bulletins are stored in news servers and can be checked by the members of a specific group from any computer with an Internet connection.

  The main job of a progam like NewsShark is to connect to said servers and download the heading of all the messages available in the bulletin board, that will remain visible even when they are deleted from the server. If the user wants, it will also be possible to download the full contents.

  To start using this application, the first thing that will be necessary will be to perform a simple configuration in which the news servers address will be input. What's more, it will also be necessary to belong to one group.

  Among the function offered by NewsShark you will finds the possibility to pause and restart the news download, the preview of the partially downloaded files or the application of filters to order the articles. What's more, it supports the most popular codifications: yEnc, UUEncode, XXEncode, MIME Base64 and BinHex.
